Business Development / face of fresh

Your fresh fit

  • Playing a key role within the new business team, working alongside the other face of fresh, mentored by the voice of fresh
  • Acting as the face of fresh at new business introductory meetings
  • Managing and supporting on new and existing pitches and creative proposals
  • Working closely with the in-house divisions and account teams when working on pitches
  • Having a good understanding of the creative process and production of a pitch is preferred
  • Having a good understanding of the new business sales process is essential
  • Ensure best practices are adopted and be prepared to challenge ways of working

Your day-to-day role

  • Manage new business relationships, ensuring a consistent level of service is delivered
  • Prepare for and attending new business introductory meetings
  • Work closely with the voice of fresh on lead generation and ensuring that all potential new business leads are followed up with relevant phone skills
  • Manage and support on new business pitches, supporting the whole process of producing pitches/proposals
  • Attend pitches as required
  • Maintain the master sales credentials, working with the wider teams to create new case studies and ensuring these are kept up to date
  • Input into the weekly new business team meeting
  • Manage and support on fresh marketing materials and activity as required
  • Carry out efficient working relationships and practices with all divisions within fresh
  • Provide updates and/or present at internal fresh events
  • Keep up-to-date with all industry news, trends and emerging technologies
  • Attend industry networking and business development events as required
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiencies and streamline processes

Skills and experience to succeed

  • IT and Mac proficiency including excellent Word, Excel, Keynote and email
  • Preferred experience in leading/supporting on pitches
  • Preferred experience in new business esp. understanding prospects’ needs
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal both on the phone and face to face)
  • Exceptional organisational, work prioritisation and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver new business projects on-brand and to the brief within challenging timescales
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to take on responsibility
  • Ability to understand and work within client budgets on pitch proposals
  • A real team player that’s self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with all divisions across fresh
  • Ability to build rapport with potential clients both over the phone and face to face
  • Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience post-grad. preferred
