Our October Fundraiser
October saw us supporting the charity Prevent Breast Cancer and we certainly did them proud.
The whole of Cheadle Royal Business Park got on board. Numerous meetings orchestrated by Angela Wrobel saw us collaborate with our neighbours and between us all, we came up with various events to get the fundraising started.
We produced banners and posters advertising the events which included a 5K run/walk around a section of the park and this was supported by the team at DeVere who tantalised our tastebuds with fresh juices and fine selection of fruits to refresh us post-run. There was a very competitive Batak challenge that in house teams across the park competed in. Paul Crawford now nicknamed “The Machine” nailed it for fresh and we bagged top spot on the leader board.
Our refresh area certainly saw a high footfall with visitors to sample and donate to taste the delights that were, Smoothie Tuesday, wicked Wednesday and the favourite Crock Pot Thursday.
Amongst guess the sweets in the jar we managed to do a sweep around the office to raise a minimum of £50 to get the leadership team to don some pink attire all in the name of fun and all to raise awareness that breast cancer effects both men and women – to show how much of a good sport they all were they also allowed me to capture the moment.
All in all we raised in-house £357.04 and the grand total from the whole of the park was £2,466.63. This means Prevent Breast Cancer can continue to support their vital research projects into better prediction and prevention of this terrible disease and hopefully make a difference for future generations.
